Key Transit System Plan Details:

  • Priority bus corridor (Monroe Road/John Street) with signal priority and enhanced stops.
  • Route 17 Independence Blvd and Route 27 Monroe Road/John Street improved to 15-minute frequency.
  • Improved express bus frequency with midday service on Route 64x Matthews.
  • New Microtransit zone serving communities along CPCC Levine, Brace YMCA, downtown Matthews, the Arboretum, and Windsor Square.
  • Future Silver Line light rail extension to Matthews is part of the CATS Rapid Transit Corridor System.
